CLINIC RULES
Our primary concern is that all Auburn Equestrian Clinic Participants have a safe and enjoyable visit to our campus; the following rules are to promote safety and reduce interference with other University programs. The rules are to be followed by all participants at all times.
Participants must abide by all University regulations and Clinic Rules and may be removed from the program without refund for non-compliance with rules.

- All Auburn University facilities are SMOKE FREE
- The possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, non-prescribed prescription drugs, illicit drugs, fireworks, guns and other weapons is prohibited
- The operation of a motor vehicle by a participant during clinic hours is prohibited
- All clinic activities are MANDATORY unless prior arrangements for an exception are made. Participants must check out with clinic staff prior to leaving the AU Equestrian Center property
- Violence, sexual abuse, harassment, hazing, and bullying will not be tolerated
- Theft of property – regardless of owner – will not be tolerated
- Misuse or damage of University property is prohibited. Charges will be assessed against those participants responsible for damage or misuse of University property
- The inappropriate use of cameras, imaging, and digital devices is prohibited, including the use of such devices in showers, restrooms, or other areas where privacy is expected by participants or Youth Program Personnel
- If a clinic participant is sick, injured, or for any reason needs medical or personal attention, she should immediately contact a staff member.
- Proper riding attire is required (no tank tops nor spaghetti straps, shirts must be tucked in, helmets must be properly adjusted)
- For jumping seat riders, approved riding helmets must be on and properly fastened before mounting any horse and must remain on until after dismounting
- It is the rider’s responsibility to provide sunscreen and a refillable water bottle to protect her from summer sun and heat. If you need either of these things, ask a clinic staff member. Water and Gatorade are always available at the Equestrian Center
- Cell phone use (other than for taking photos) is strongly discouraged during clinic hours
- Keep a positive attitude. Whining, complaining and negativity make it difficult for you and other riders to have a fun clinic experience.
